About EasyGov Contracts

EasyGov Contracts is an independent tool that helps small businesses find, understand, and track federal contract opportunities published on SAM.gov.

What EasyGov Contracts Does

EasyGov Contracts aggregates federal solicitation data from SAM.gov and presents it in a format designed for small business owners, not procurement specialists. The dashboard lets you filter active opportunities by set-aside type, NAICS code, agency, and response deadline. AI-generated plain-English summaries help you evaluate opportunities quickly without reading through full solicitation documents.

EasyGov Contracts also publishes free educational guides covering federal procurement basics: how to register on SAM.gov, how to read a solicitation, how set-aside programs work, and how to approach your first federal contract.

Who It Helps

EasyGov Contracts is built for small businesses that want to participate in federal contracting but find the existing tools overwhelming. Federal procurement has a steep learning curve — SAM.gov was designed for contracting officers, not business owners. EasyGov Contracts removes that barrier by surfacing opportunities in plain English and making it easy to filter to the ones you are eligible to bid on.

How Opportunity Data Is Sourced

Opportunities are pulled daily from the SAM.gov public API. The data is the same information available directly at SAM.gov. Listings may reflect a delay of up to 24 hours from the time they are posted on SAM.gov.

SAM.gov is the authoritative source

Users should always verify current solicitation details, deadlines, amendments, and attachments directly on SAM.gov before responding to any opportunity. EasyGov Contracts displays opportunity data for discovery and evaluation purposes only. The official solicitation documents and submission instructions are always on SAM.gov.

How AI Summaries Work

AI summaries are generated from solicitation and opportunity text retrieved from SAM.gov. The summaries are intended to help you triage opportunities quickly — they do not replace the full solicitation documents and should not be used as the basis for a bid response.

Users should verify AI summaries against the official SAM.gov posting before making any contracting decisions. AI systems can misread, omit, or misrepresent requirements. EasyGov Contracts does not intentionally send user account data, saved searches, bookmarks, or payment data to AI systems for generating opportunity summaries.

Editorial Standards for Procurement Guides

The procurement guides published on EasyGov Contracts are written for educational purposes only and do not constitute legal or contracting advice. Key standards:

  • Dollar thresholds, program eligibility rules, and certification requirements are sourced from official government publications — FAR, SBA.gov, acquisition.gov — and verified at the time of writing.
  • Thresholds and rules change. Readers should verify current figures at the relevant official source before relying on any specific number or program requirement.
  • Spending figures cited in guides are sourced from USASpending.gov and the SBA Annual Small Business Procurement Scorecard.
  • Guides are updated when material changes to the underlying rules or data are identified. The "Last updated" date on each guide reflects the most recent material revision.
